We will have timing mats in this area where runners will enter the loop, run the 4 miles, and then hit the mat again on the return. Here, we will also have a designated camp where runners can have sleeping quarters to nap, restock, or refuel any personal supplies they may prefer to have with them on the course. ![]() We will definitely have water coolers for you to refuel bottles, plus basic first aid. We will provide warm aid station fare with the donation made. With the course being only 4 miles, there is only one aid station. Start/finish line will be near the Visitor Center/Shelter 3. Anything extra will go to the Claytor Lake friends organization as a thank you for letting us spend time on their property. The course is a 4 mile loop on the trails of Claytor Lake State Park. This is a great course for those looking for PRs with some hills, or those looking at getting more comfortable at night running -as the course is marked well and easy to follow in the dark. Spend a few hours and the rocks will get bigger and your feet will find the sharpest rocks, especially at night. What looks like an easy 4 miles will test your legs.
